Darth Vader has a great pose, also taken from the photo seen on the package. Hasbro did a lot of things differently with this Vader. The biggest change is that Vader's belt, inner-cape skirt, and cod-piece are all molded together. I think combining the belt and the skirt was an okay idea, but adding the crotch was too much in my opinion. It just doesn't look right; it's all warped and bent strangely. The other new thing Hasbro has done was adding the chain for Vader's cape. However, the chain is molded onto his chestplate and is not actually a part of the cape. It doesn't work too well on this figure because it doesn't really give the illusion that it is part of the cape. The cape itself is not too bad, but it looks a little too thick around the neck area. Vader's headsculpt (or should I say helmet-sculpt?) is great and looks to be accurately sized. In fact, it looks pretty much like the headsculpt from Emperor's Wrath Darth Vader, just normally painted.

Articulation--2/5
Just like with the Luke and Leia set, articulation is piratically a moot point. These figures were made for a specific pose, and what little articulation exists is there for minor adjustments. Anyway, Obi-Wan and Vader both have six points each: neck, shoulders, wrists, and waist. Hasbro seems to have recognized that hip articulation would have been pretty useless and decided to make the legs into one piece. Their arms don't have a wide range of motion because of their poses and the wrist articulation isn't extremely useful either. I think Hasbro could have added some bicep-cuts for more posability, but I think that with these sets, they're going more for looks than playability and posability.

Accessories--3/5
Vader and Ben have their lightsabers and their quality is good. They are actually a tad smaller than previous versions and Vader's saber is slightly more accurate around the top of the hilt. You also get the platform which they come tied down with. It's a nice platform, but it should have been longer. The way Vader and Obi-Wan are posed on the platform is a bit hilarious to me because they are practically standing side-by-side. Well, they ARE standing side-by-side! A far cry from the actual scene.

Paint--4/5
The paint is excellent in this set from the lenses in Vader's helmet to the buttons on his belt. I did see a set with a messy Obi-Wan, but that was probably the exception.

Packaging--4/5
The packaging for these sets are great, with a nice view of the figures and a good background image. The package seems a bit flimsy, but I have yet to see one with heavy damage. The best thing about the packaging is that it can be opened and closed without any destruction. The most problematic part are the twistly-ties that hold the figures and the platform to the package. They are a pain to untwist and take-out.

This is my favorite of the three 25th Anniversary sets and that's the only reason I'm giving it a 4....Actually, I'm going to give it a 3.5, because I don't think it's a set you just have to own. But who wouldn't like a good, classic lightsaber battle to display on their shelf? The bad thing is, looking at them is pretty much all they're good for. So if you like action with your figures, these aren't for you.
