Saga Endor Victory Accessory Set (with Scout Trooper) Review

One of the more popular of the accessory sets, Endor Victory comes with the Ewok drum set and a Biker Scout figure. The Biker Scout figure alone is reason enough for the purchase, but all is not entirely well. Read on for the review and 7 photos!

Endor Victory Accessory Set

with Scout Trooper

"The Empire prepares to crush the Rebellion with a second, more powerful Death Star. As the Rebel fleet mounts a massive attack on the dreaded space station, Luke Skywalker confronts his father, Darth Vader, in a climactic duel before the evil Emperor. In the last second, Vader makes a momentous choice: he destroys the Emperor and saves his son. The Empire is finally defeated, the evil Sith are destroyed, and Anakin Skywalker is redeemed. At long last, freedom is restored to the galaxy."--Excerpt from the package back

Sculpt--3.5/5
This set includes: Scout Trooper, trench coat, 2 Endor backpacks, rifle, Rebel Endor helmet, 4 grenades, AT-ST pilot helmet, Imperial blaster pistol, drum set base and 2 drumsticks. There are a lot of unique items in this set that haven't been seen before. The drumset in particular is a piece that many collectors were looking forward to. It is sculpted decently; the base looks like wood and the Imperial helmets have dents and dings in them. The only disappointing thing is that the helmets are not removable. The drumsticks have thin handles and Logray is the only Ewok figure that can hold them tightly.

Another unique piece is the AT-ST pilot helmet. This is a nice piece for customizers or for people who want to recreate the scene where Han Solo tricks the Empire into thinking that the Rebels are subdued. The only problem is that it's a tight fit, so some figures look strange wearing it. The plastic seems pretty thick, so you could probably drill out some of the inside to make more room.

The cloth trench coat is another thing I was looking forward to getting my hands on, but it's a little disappointing. The sleeves are very short and tight so it may not fit some figures. It looks pretty good on Commtech Han Solo, but looks kinda strange from the back since the shoulder and collar is a bit bulky. The last unique items are the grenades, which were probably designed for Endor Raid Han Solo before Hasbro decided to make them into suction cups. Thus, these are made of harder plastic and their base isn't as wide.

All the other accessories have been seen before, but there are some slight changes to the backpacks and the Endor Rebel helmet. The backpacks are now connected to a shoulder harness so that it can be worn by many different figures. The harnesses are pretty bulky and ugly, so I don't forsee myself using these too much. The Endor Helmet is the same one that comes with the Saga Endor Rebel Soldier except that it is molded in a light tan color, making it look very different from that one. The rifle is the same kind that came with the Hoth Rebel Soldier from the Power of the Force 2 line and the blaster is the one that comes with the Scout Trooper from the POTJ line.

The Scout Trooper is exactly the same as the POTJ version except for one thing: his crotch section is backwards! It's not too noticeable I guess, but I think it's just poor quality control for such an error to occur. You can try to take off the legs and put them on the right way, but it may take a bit of work. If you need help doing this, try looking at FFURG.com.

Features--NA/5
There are no action features associated with this set.

Accessories--3.5/5
The Scout Trooper is the accessory to the accessories I suppose. The Scout Trooper is a good choice to include in the set because he was pretty hard to find when he was in the POTJ line and many people may not have had the chance to get him. He's a decent army-building unit but he lacks the articulation to make him a truly classic figure. The fact that his crotch section is backwards doesn't help.

Paint--3/5
The paint is alright, but it's a little sloppy on the drum set. The Scout Trooper is painted exactly like his POTJ version.

Overall--3.5/5
This is my second favorite accessory set so far. There are a lot of new things in this set. The drum set is nice and the AT-ST helmet is cool. You may also want it for the Scout Trooper if you haven't gotten him yet.
