Saesee Tiin
Jedi Master
"A member of the Jedi Council, Saesee Tiin's telepathic mind races ahead to foresee possible outcomes to events, providing a unique perspective to the Council." --Excerpt from the card back
| Sculpt--3/5 Saesee Tiin is much like Plo Koon-Arena Battle in that he doesn't have as extreme a pose as other Jedi figures. In fact, the two can be posed almost exactly the same. But anyway, Saesee seems a little boring to me. He's a very plain figure overall; he almost looks like a hunk of chocolate. The neck area on his body (not on his headsculpt) looks strange but that could be a painting problem. His left hand is posed as if using the Force, and the right hand is for holding his lightsaber...only it can't hold it. The grip on my figure is so wide that it made it impossible for the lightsaber to stay in his hand. So if you open up your Saesee, don't remove the clear rubberband holding the saber in place. Saesee Tiin's headsculpt is well done, but I kind of wish there was a bit more expression in it. Articulation--3/5 Saesee Tiin has seven points of articulation: neck, ball-jointed shoulders, right bicep-cut, waist, and hips. The ball-jointed shoulders are nice, but I think they could have been hidden better. The right bicep-cut is nice for varying his lightsaber poses. Wrist joints would have been cool, but I guess you can't have everything. Accessories--2.5/5 You get Saesee Tiin's lightsaber and a Force effect accessory. Awww, isn't that cute? Saesee Tiin has a flower for you! I think it's supposed to be a fire shield or something, but it kinda looks more like a flower to me. Heck, all these Force effects are starting to look like flowers to me! These were an interesting experiment, but please Hasbro, stop making them! Saesee Tiin's lightsaber is another nice offering and has a removable green blade. Paint--2.5/5 At first I thought Saesee Tiin was wearing an undershirt of some kind, because the flesh on his lower neck is totally different from his head. The painters obviously didn't put on enough of the dark orange, making Saesee's lower neck look very strange. The lightsaber hilt is also painted poorly, with black paint splotches everywhere. Overall--3/5 This figure is pretty average overall, but a must have if you want to recreate that arena battle against all the battle droids. |
