Dexter Jettster

Coruscant Informant

"A cook in a Coruscant diner, Dexter Jettster picks up plenty of information as he's serving his patrons. An old friend of Obi-Wan Kenobi, he's always willing to share his information for a price." --Excerpt from the package back

Sculpt--4.5/5
Whoever did Dex's sculpt sure did a fine job. The likeness is great and looks very close to the "real" thing. Dex's arms and head look superb with great textures and nice details. Though there is something about the head which doesn't look quite right, but I can't put my finger on it. Other than that, there's really nothing I can complain about. Dex's t-shirt, his apron, and everything else looks excellent.

Articulation--4/5
Dex has eight points of articulation: neck, all four shoulders, waist, and hips. It would have been cool if Dex had bicep cuts on some or all of his arms, but i'm sure that would have upped the cost of this hefty figure. Anyhow, his arms are posed well enough to make some interesting poses, so it's not that bad.

Accessories--3.5/5
You get a Kamino saber dart, a vibro cleaver, a butcher knife, and a electro effect. The Kamino saber dart is a bit out of scale, but that really can't be helped. The vibro cleaver is a pretty basic knife and fits into either of Dex's right hands. The handle is kinda big so you've got to squeeze it in there. The butcher knife is cool and thankfully has a thinner handle so it's a bit easier fitting this knife into Dex's hands. The electro effect is a strange inclusion. It fits on the butchers knife perfectly, but doesn't quite make a lot of sense. I would have liked to see some other accessories, like maybe a plate of food or something for him to cut.

Paint--5/5
Excellent paint job. I love the yellow food stains on his shirt and apron. The skin tones are done well and Dex's fingertips are painted nicely. Most impressive is Dex's numerous tattoos. He's got one on each knuckle and one on his inside forearm of his upper-right arm. Hasbro even painted the little logo on Dex's t-shirt. I also like the stripes on his washcloth hanging from his back pocket.

Overall--4.5/5
This is a great representation of Dexter Jettser, one of the coolest characters to come out of AOTC. Is he perfect? No. But I don't feel we need another Dexter figure, which is a good thing.
