Sculpt--4/5
The fifth new-type astromech droid is an R3 unit! Very cool. Well, other than the head, everything is exactly the same as R2-Q5's sculpt. So anyway, the head is new, and being an R3 unit this figure has a clear dome. It's pretty cool to look inside the dome and see all the wiring and gizmos. It's more detailed in there than I thought it would be. The dome itself is also done well and looks accurate to the photo on the package.

Articulation--5/5
R3-T7 has the same articulation as all the other new-type astromechs, and it's perfect. Nuff' said.

Accessories--3/5
Now I have no idea what role R3-T7 plays in Attack of the Clones, but hopefully the accessory included is accurate to the movie. You geta simulated electro-shock-thing which can be put around R3-T7. It's a lot like the POTJ Battle Droid with Boomer Damage. Interesting but I don't see myself using it too much.

Paint--3/5
Overall, the paint is good, but I do have some issues with certain aspects. The biggest problem I have is that the yellow they used on the figure doesn't match the yellow in the photo of R3-T7. On the figure, it is very light and leans a bit towards a greenish-yellow. In the photo, the yellow is deeper and more orangish.
R3-T7 also has a pretty complex paint scheme from what I can tell, with lines in places that aren't molded on the figure. Hasbro tried to paint all the lines, but it ends up looking like the paint is all over the place. I think this problem could have been solved if they had used a deeper yellow that would show up better against the white plastic.
Other than those things, I like the paint job. R3-T7 is adequately dirty (although not as dirty as the photo), and has two slash marks on the left side of its body. Even some of the stuff inside R3-T7's clear dome is painted, such as multi-colored wiring.

Overall--4/5
Hey, I love astromech droids and I think it's very cool that Hasbro has done an R3 unit. Ok, so I may be biased, but it is a well-done figure. This is also the only Episode II Preview figure that doesn't suffer from pre-posing (Zam's not too bad though).
