Ellorrs Madak

Duros

"Like all Duros, Ellorrs Madak is a natural wanderer who is at home wherever his travels take him. Although Duros tend to be a peaceful species, the Empire's restrictive trade practices prompt Madak to leave his government job and become a freelance flight instructor and occasional smuggler." --Excerpt from the Force File

Sculpt--4/5
This is a great sculpt. Ellorrs has a very closed stance which for me is a nice change of pace from all the wider-stanced Star Wars figures. Because of this closed stance, Ellorrs looks very relaxed which is perfect for hanging out at the cantina. Hasbro has also given Ellorrs Madak an ankle holster for his pistol. I don't know if Ellorrs Madak really had such a holster in A New Hope, but I'm glad Hasbro gave him one. I figure that if they're gonna give him a pistol they might as well give him a place to put it. Ellorrs' right hand is molded to hold his pistol, but can also pass for some type of conversational gesturing like his left hand. Hasbro did a phenomenal job on his jumpsuit; it's got nice folds and creases and looks very realistic and natural. Ellorrs' headsculpt is equally great and looks just like the photo on his Force File.

Articulation--2/5
Ellorrs Madak has six points: neck, shoulders, waist and hips. What would have made this figure's articulation perfect is knee articulation. I feel that all cantina characters should have the option of sitting, especially those that are depicted sitting in the movie.

Accessories--2/5
You get one accessory, Ellorrs' blaster pistol. It's a nice pistol but it would have been nice to see another accessory included as well.

Paint--4/5
Despite being a pretty plain figure, Hasbro did a good job at making Ellorrs Madak stand out. His jumpsuit is painted with a slightly metallic paint, making it shimmer in the light. Very cool. His face and hands are well painted as well.

Overall--4/5
I love the aliens of Star Wars and this one is a classic. If you feel the same way, then I heartily recommend this figure.
