Sculpt--3.5/5 I bought this figure just because I wanted an Obi-Wan that could fit in the cockpit of the Jedi Starfighter, but ended up getting an awesome all-around figure. This Obi-Wan's got a more neutral stance than Coruscant Chase Obi's which is a good thing because he needs to fit inside that cockpit. Surprisingly, his stance also looks good in semi-action poses, which is accomodating for his action-feature arms.
Some people were put off by the look of the underarm/bicep area of this figure's arms, and I was one of those people, but once you put his cloak on or have him hold his lightsaber, you'll forget how wierd they look as they'll become unnoticeable. When I was first playing with the figure, I didn't think it would be capable of holding the lightsaber with both hands. Thankfully, I was proven wrong. This figure just looks great holding the lightsaber, making me kinda wish it was just a "normal" Obi-Wan figure (i.e. without the headgear). You can make some pretty cool poses thanks to the arms and it makes the figure really shine.
The headsculpt still doesn't quite look like Ewan, but it's not bad and certainly isn't any worse than Coruscant Chase Obi's headsculpt. It's too bad the headband isn't film accurate (in the movie, it doesn't go all the way around his head), but I guess Hasbro didn't have the time to tweek the molds. The height of this Obi-Wan also seems to be more accurate over the first figure. I kind of wish the bottom part of his tunic was cloth instead of soft plastic; it would have made it easier for him to sit in the cockpit of the Jedi Starfighter.
Articulation--3.5/5 Obi-Wan has nine points: neck, shoulders, bicep-cuts, wrists, and hips. There is no waist articulation probably because of the action-feature. The arms are the best articulation points on this figure, as they allow a number of poses. Waist articulation would have been nice, but it's still a great figure.
Features--4/5 Obi-Wan has a slashing lightsaber attack. Press the button on his butt to make both of his arms come swinging down. You can still pose his arms like normal articulation points, so the action feature didn't get in the way in those respects. I'm actually having quite a bit of fun with this action feature, which is nice.
Obi-Wan also has a Force-attract left hand. The magnet isn't as strong as CC Obi's, but it's strong enough. I'd say that it's the second or third stongest magnet for figures with magnets in their hand.
Accessories--5/5 Wow. This figure has some great accessories. You get a Jedi robe, lightsaber with metal hilt and removeable blade, binoculars, radar dish, and a communication base. The Jedi robe is of course, cloth and removeable. It is a bit bulky, but you can still make it look pretty spiffy. I think it would have been better if Hasbro had used a thinner cloth, but it's still a good accessory. Fitting Obi-Wan into the cockpit of his starfighter with his robe on is a bit of a chore. You've really got to stuff him in there!
The lightsaber is exactly like the one that comes with Coruscant Chase Obi Wan. The binoculars are probably the worst accessory in the set, as the figure can't hold it up to its eyes to use them! It's nice that they included them anyway, though. The radar dish is cool since it can be attached to the Jedi Starfighter via the little hole behind R4's head. If you don't have the Starfighter, then you can use the handy communication base included with the figure. My base is a bit warped and falls over, but I think it's because of how it's packed in the bubble and the fact that its made of soft plastic.
Paint--4/5 No complaints on the paint. Everything is painted nicely and I haven't observed major flubs.
Overall--4/5 This is just a great figure. Even if you don't own the Jedi Starfighter, you must own this figure! This is easily one of the best Episode II figures yet. Not only do you get some great accessories, but the figure looks great and is fun to play with! What more can you ask for?
