Sculpt--3.5/5 The last Old Ben figure Hasbro gave us was the Flashback version which was nice and all, but was designed with his final duel with Vader in mind. This Ben is a lot more like the original POTF2 Ben except he's not wearing his Jedi cloak. He's in a pretty neutral pose and doesn't seem to be movie-based. His robe is sculpted well; much better than the original's, but I wish Hasbro used real cloth for everything below the belt--that way, he would be able to sit down and make his hip articulation worthy of existence.
Ben's headsculpt is well done, but only slightly better than the original POTF2's headsculpt. There's something still not totally right about it, but I think it's just a bunch of little details that add up to a headsculpt that doesn't quite look as accurate as it could.
Articulation--3/5 Ben has eight points of articulation: neck, shoulders, bicep-cuts on both arms, waist, and hips. The bicep-cuts were a nice surprise, since I didn't notice them when I bought him, and are good for making him hold his lightsaber at different angles. Ben's hip articulation is a waste because his robe restricts any movement whatsoever. As I mentioned before, it would have been nice if Hasbro made his robe of cloth so he could sit. It would have been extra cool if Ben also had knee articulation since he's sitting a lot in scenes where he's dressed like this figure.
Accessories--3/5 Ben comes with his lightsaber and the hilt of the lightsaber he gives to Luke. The hilt can attach to Ben's belt via hole and peg which is a nice feature, but when in the movie does he wear it on his belt??
Paint--4/5 The paint is pretty good, with a nice subtle worn look to Ben's robe. Ben's head is also painted well, and man, are his eyes blue! The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the paint from Anakin's lightsaber hilt adheared to Ben's robe due to the fact that it is rubber-banded to him in the packaging. That's more of a packaging problem than a paint problem though, as the hilt and Ben's saber are painted nicely.
Overall--3/5 This is a pretty average figure overall. There's nothing particularly special about it, but it isn't that bad. It would have been nice if he came with a cloth cloak so that he could be used in more situations, but oh well.
