Sculpt--3/5 The first Episode II Obi-Wan figure is pretty neat, but its got its share of problems. While Obi-Wan is overall nicely sculpted, his scale is out of whack. For instance, put him next to C-3PO, and you'll see he's significantly shorter. You might be saying, 'Well, his knees are bent, so he should be shorter.' But put him next to Padme Amidala, who has pretty much the same pose leg-wise, and you'll see that they're the same height.
And while I love his Force-Action hand, the slug in his right palm is unattractive. It would have been cool if his whole hand was the magnet, but I guess that would be more expensive to make. The pose of his right hand works well when he's "holding" on to the included Assassin Droid, but doesn't look as good if you choose to hold his lightsaber with it.
The headsculpt is decent, but doesn't quite look like Ewan McGregor. When I first got a good look at him, he reminded me of the bad guy from the first Die Hard movie...I can't remember his name at the moment.
Articulation--3/5 Obi-Wan has seven points: neck, shoulders, left bicep-cut, waist, and hips. The bicep-cut is very welcome and makes various lightsaber poses possible. A wrist joint on his left arm would have been cool, but it's still good. He does not fit into the Jedi Starfighter.
Features--4/5 Obi-Wan has one feature--his Force Action. It is the aforementioned magnet in his right palm, which is thankfully stronger than the one found in Kit Fisto. With this magnet-tized palm you can Force-attract his lightsaber hilt or use it to have Obi-Wan hang onto the Assassin droid for his dear life. Unfortunately, you still have to put his hand pretty close to the lightsaber hilt to get it to attract, but the distance is greater than what you have to do with Kit Fisto's Force Action. I really like the magnet idea, but I wish the magnets were stronger! It's still very cool though.
Accessories--5/5 Obi-Wan comes with his lightsaber and a ASN-121 Assassin Droid. The droid is pretty nicely detailed and has a metal slug in its side for Obi-Wan to hang from. The plastic used for its "fins" is pretty flimsy though, but I guess it lessens the chances of snapping them off. The assassin droid has a "stick" attached to the back end, but after watching the movie, it doesn't seem like the actual droid had any sort of thing sticking out of its back end. Thus, I believe it's simply something to hold the droid by.
Obi-Wan's lightsaber is made from machined-metal and it's ultra cool. The details have been a bit generalized because it's not made from a cast, but it still looks great. Hasbro has painted on the black bits and the red activation button. The blue blade is removeable, of course.
Paint--4/5 Good job on the paint on this figure. No signs of sloppiness at all on my figure.
Overall--3.5/5 While I think he's a little small, I can't help but want to play with this figure. The Force feature is just too cool! I like trying to see how far away he can be before he attracts his lightsaber. Man, can you imagine a Hoth Luke Skywalker with this feature? You'd be able to recreate the Wampa cave scene brilliantly!
