Sculpt--3/5 This has been the hardest Saga figure for me to obtain by normal means (going to toy stores), and after all the hassle and all the frustration, I'm thoroughly disappointed. After setting Dooku aside for a few days I came back to see if my disappointment would hold up, and it has, just not as much. The sculpting is actually well done considering how plain Dooku's outfit is. His left arm is strangly posed; it doesn't seem to go with his overall pose. The left arm's pose makes more sense when you have him hold the green lightsaber with it even though he never does so in the movie (the scene was scrapped). The cape is well sculpted, but causes Dooku to be totally unbalanced, making it impossible for him to stand without some help.
Dooku's headsculpt is pretty good. It has a good likeness to Christopher Lee, and you won't have trouble recognizing him.
Articulation--2/5 Count Dooku has seven points of articulation: neck, shoulders, right wrist, waist, and hips. The articulation is pretty basic; you can't vary his pose very much, not only because of his sculpted "skirt" but also because of his action feature. The waist and right arm only move for the action feature, and since it's spring loaded, they're going to be in the default position for the most part.
Features--3/5 Count Dooku's main feature is his slashing lightsaber attack. Squeeze his legs together and his right arm will come down in a slashing motion as his waist twists counter-clockwise. It's a much better attacking feature than Hangar Duel Anakin's, so I'm happy about that, but as mentioned earlier, the feature limits his poseability.
Dooku's second feature is his Force-action left hand. It's got the usual magnet in the palm so he can Force-attract the included metal lightsaber hilt. The problem is that his grip is too tight, so the lightsaber won't be able to actually get into his hand without you putting it in manually.
Accessories--3/5 You get Dooku's lightsaber, the green lightsaber lended to Anakin, and a small holographic Darth Sidious. Dooku's lightsaber is the only lightsaber in the Saga line to not have a removeable blade. It's obvious to me that it could have been removeable; it's not like the peg you insert into the hilt is that long, and the hilt doesn't have that much of a curve to it for that to be an excuse. Oh well...it's still nicely detailed. The green lightsaber is the same type that's included with Hangar Duel Anakin, but this one has more paint on the hilt. The hilt is metal and the blade is removeable. (As many of you know by now, initially there was a scene where Dooku wields two lightsabers)
The final accessory is a small holographic Darth Sidious. It's transparent purple and is pretty cool looking. Again, you've got to wonder why this is included. It was probably in a scene that was cut from the final version of the movie. What I would have liked to see included with this figure are some Force lightning effects. Hasbro probably has a whole 'nother figure for that in the works though.
Paint--3/5 The paint is done well. There's not exactly a lot to paint on this figure (head, belt, little chain and buttons, boots), so automatically the chances are lessened for a bad paint job to show up.
Overall--3/5 Like Hangar Duel Anakin, this figure turned out to pretty average when it had the potential to be a very cool figure. His articulation could have been better and he could have been balanced better. On the bright side, he's a lot cooler than the Deluxe Count Dooku.
