Jango Fett
"Ten years after the fight to save Naboo from invasion, the galaxy is on the brink of civil war. Under the leadership of a renegade Jedi, thousands of solar system threaten to secede from the Galactic Republic.
"A courageous Jedi Knight, his impulsive and headstrong apprentice, and a queen-turned-senator are drawn into the heart of the conflict..and the beginning of war." --Excerpt from the card back
| Sculpt--4/5 Jango Fett is a cool looking figure. He's got a great pose, and his sculpting is superb. His armor is looks great and the chestplate portions have scratches and dings. I can find nothing really wrong about the sculpt, but pose is extremely limiting. He is posed in a nice shooting pose, pointing both guns at his target, but that's all he can do. Articulation--2/5 Jango Fett has six points of articulation: neck, shoulders, waist and hips. If Jango had a few more points, we might have been able to get more poses out of him, but unfortunately that's not the case. Because of the way his arms are posed, you won't be able to put them down too far. If you want Jango to stand, you won't be moving his legs much, and besides, they don't look good doing anything else. Accessories--3/5 Jango comes with two blaster pistols, two detachable blast-effect accessories, and I guess you can also count his removable backpack. His guns are very nicely detailed especially for their small size. The only thing I don't like about the guns is that they don't stay in Jango's hands very well. The blast-effect attachments actually look good on his guns, unlike the one that came with Zam Wesell. You could also attach them to Jango Fett's backpack, but that's pretty much useless since you can't pose him to look like he's flying. Jango's backpack attaches like G.I.Joe: A Real American Hero backpacks--by a peg and a hole in Jango's back. Paint--4/5 Hasbro did a good job on the paint. Everything on my Jango is painted well except for two splotches on his helmet. The backpack is also nicely painted, with paint scheme much like Boba Fett's backpack in Return of the Jedi. The blue paint on the backpack bleeds a bit but other than that, there's nothing wrong. The writing on the backpack is a nice touch. Overall--3.5/5 Without a doubt, this is the most popular of the four Episode II preview figures. I didn't think I would like him that much because of his limited posability, but it is a pretty cool pose. He is nice to look at, but that's all he's really good for, so take that into consideration before opening him up. |
